I love to see the friendships, old and new, the sharing of experiences and the laughing, especially the laughing.

Deep down I want to make a difference in people’s lives. To see participants gain confidence and grow in a social community group is very rewarding to me.

I really enjoy listening to participant’s life stories. I not only learn more about them but from their life experiences so it enriches my life too. I also love seeing Participants enjoy themselves by laughing with one another and knowing that they've enjoyed their day with us. I relish the opportunity to see our participants improve their quality of life whether it be mentally, physically, spiritually or intellectually in our community. If my program planning succeeds in doing that, I am most gratified.

I enjoy hearing the laughter throughout the building. Knowing that attending Care & Share is a highlight in the participant’s week is really rewarding.

Getting to know the people who attend is a real pleasure. Having a chat throughout the day and at lunch really enables everyone to get to know each other.

Everyone has their experiences and stories to share. It is lovely to see mutual support, a sense of belonging and willingness to look out for the welfare of others develop among participants.

My job involves laughter and caring, creative thinking, thoughtful planning, respect and acceptance, a sense of humour, community relations, recreation, education, entertainment and so much more. My job is one of the most creative and rewarding jobs in the world.
